THURSDAY EVENING LENTEN STUDY ~ BEGINS MARCH 5

How do we walk with Christ–daily follow him, grow in him, and faithfully serve him? What does it mean to be deeply com-mitted Christians, growing in faith every day? How do we become fully engaged and flourishing in the Christian life? Pastor Harriette will be leading the video series “The Walk – Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life” beginning March 5 at 6 p.m. for six weekly sessions. The video/discussion will explore Christian discipleship built around practices that we engage in both collectively and individually in order to more fully follow Jesus. Join us as together we worship, study, serve, give, and share the practices rooted in Jesus’ own walk with God.

UMCOR SUNDAY OFFERING ~ MARCH 22

MISSION OF THE MONTH

UMCOR is the United Methodist Committee on Relief, and yet they are anything but a typical committee. They are a program by the General Board of Global Ministries taking action when disaster strikes around the globe. UMCOR acts as the hands and feet of Christ’s church, moving towards the most vulnerable in their time of need. Helping people in their darkest days doesn’t have to be something “they” do, it can be something “we” do. Our generosity as a church covers the operating budg-et of UMCOR, which allows them to funnel 100% of other donations received throughout the year directly to relief efforts. Donations to UMCOR will help refugees, job training, deliver food, water, shelter, and long-term recovery assistance to 68.5 million people displaced by war, persecution, and natural disaster; and the ability to distribute relief kits to those affected by tornadoes, hurricanes, and tsunamis.
